The oral history interviews in this book were conducted by the Bronx COVID-19 Oral History Project at Fordham University; the NYC COVID-19 Oral History, Narrative, and Memory Project at Columbia University; the Queens Memory Project; the Staten Island Coronavirus Chronicle at the College of Staten Island; and by Martha Guerrero Badillo and myself. I edited the interviews for length and clarity, and then reviewed them with their narrators to ensure that my editing had not distorted their meanings.
