How do we move from theory to practice? How do we connect our head, heart, and feet? These questions cannot be answered through a training or toolkit, but in how we actually move in this world. For this reason, “Part 4. Life” centers on the real lives of real people remembering, reckoning, and reimagining racial justice with each breath and every step. Through their portraits we can show, not just tell, the intimate and intricate nature of movement building. The personal is political, and for Phil, Chet, Kindra, Crystal, and Jackie their incredible on-the-ground work in Sacramento is more than a job: it is their intergenerational purpose, lifeline, and legacy.
